The majority of Hamaca hammocks are made in Colombia where relaxing in a hammock has been a tradition for generations.
Our Colombian hammocks are made by hand by a skilled workforce. Good employees are always hard to find, so we make sure we keep them by giving them the excellent wages and conditions they deserve.
Our cotton hammocks are made from recycled cotton. Recycled cotton is even kinder to the environment than organic cotton. These hammocks are soft and strong and, as long as you remember to take them in for winter, they will last a very long time.
Our weatherproof hammocks are made from polypropylene. This is a type of plastic, but they are woven in to a fabric which is soft and comfortable. These hammocks and hanging chairs will not fade or rot and will last a very long time.
Hamaca is a new brand of hammocks based in the UK and Sweden. It was started in 2014 by husband and wife, Paul & Caroline King who have been working with hammocks for more than 10 years.
